of Bihar (1957 – 1962)

Vice President (1962 – 1967) and President (1967 – 1969) of Republic of India

May 03 1969 at Delhi while in office aged 72.

with the Padma Vibhushan in 1954 and Bharat Ratna in 1963.

He received Honorary doctorates from the
Universities of Cairo, Delhi, Aligarh, Allahabad & Calcutta.
