BC Roy was
born on July 01,1882 at Patna, Bihar.
He was educated at Patna Collegiate School , Patna College and
obtained his MBBS MD from Calcutta. He was granted the MRCP and MRCS from London.
He served
as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Campbell Medical College & Carmichael
Medical College Calcutta (1911 -1919) and Professor of Medicine, National
Medical College, Calcutta (1919 – 1942).
He served with distinction as the youngest Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University (1942 – 1944).

of Technology at Kharagpur and industrial organizations like Durgapur Steel
Plant.
